DO I GET TO SEE ARTWORK BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?

Unfortunately, no. I VERY rarely send artwork before the appointment. I allocate time at our appointment to go through the design together. If you have minor changes we can go through them together. If you change the design significantly from the original concept, an artwork fee is associated and we may need to reschedule to the closest available appointment if we don’t have enough time to do the tattoo at that appointment. There is also many risks behind sending my hard work, like to potentially be stolen prior to the appointment and I have been taken advantage like this before.

Can i make changes to my idea after consult and i have already made a booking?

I’m completely understanding when it comes to this because I can be very indecisive at times. But it depends on the significance of changes because it could change your appointment time and/or quote. Minor changes are generally fine. Please contact me about this as soon as possible to avoid complications. If it’s a significant style change, placement change and/or it’s not something i’m comfortable with tattooing, we will have to cancel but you will then lose your non-refundable deposit. I want my clients to get the best possible tattoo, even if that means i’m not the best artist for the job. I will recommend another more suited artist if I can.

how much does a tattoo cost?

Please refer to the pricing section above.

CAN I COMMISSION YOU FOR A DRAWING?

Unfortunately I don’t have the time for artwork outside of designing for tattoos. Some of you may remember when I did commission portrait drawings, although I love doing them, I don’t have the time for them anymore. I get asked to design artwork for people to take to another tattoo artist to tattoo, I don’t do this, not only because I don’t have the time but I see it as pointless because for the most part, the artist you want to get tattooed off should be able to do the design and will probably do it for free inclusive of getting the tattoo. Plus a tattoo artist will know the best way to design something to translate it to a tattoo. If you find an artist to design something but they’re not a tattoo artist, you’re more than likely going to have it redesigned by the tattoo artist anyway. If I was to do the design, it’s my job as a tattoo artist to do the tattoo, so it doesn’t make sense to me to have someone else design it or for me to design it for you to get it tattooed elsewhere.

Do you tattoo people under the age of 18?

No, I do not. I require ID proof of age at the time of booking. I have heard of some tattoo artists doing it with permission but I don’t feel comfortable with it. I am happy to plan ahead and book for either the day of 18th birthday onward. So if you’re looking to get a tattoo after your birthday or on your birthday, still feel free to apply for a spot on my wait list to book in the future! Or join my subscription list to be mailed updates as to when my books open.

what do i need to do before my appointment?

Please read my tattoo preparation advice here

What do i do about my appointment if i am sick and cannot make it?

The sooner you can let me know, the better. The more time I have to reschedule, the better. If you have a medical certificate, you can keep your deposit. If you cannot provide one, you will lose your deposit and need to make another before you can re-book. Currently due to COVID circumstances have changed and if you are showing any symptoms at all, you cannot be in the studio anyway without being tested negative for COVID; if you need to reschedule your appointment due to this, let me know ASAP and you will keep your deposit. I am completely understanding when it comes to life happening, tattoos are a luxury and sometimes life gets in the way but this is my livelihood and I need to pay my bills as well. As long as you’re honest and straight forward with me, I will do my best to look after you as well. Being sick and getting tattooed isn’t a great idea either, so if you are sick, don’t try make it work just so you don’t lose your appointment, it’s best for everyone if you just reschedule for when you will feel better.

When can I move my appointment or cancel but still keep my deposit?

For full day bookings, the deposit is lost if the appointment is cancelled or rescheduled within 7 days. You will need to make another deposit if you’re making another booking. For less than a full day, you need to adjust the appointment outside 48 hours to hold the deposit. Unless you have a medical certificate, then you would need to provide a copy of this to ensure your deposit is held. Of canceling, deposits are non refundable due to admin time and/or artwork time unless certain circumstances I feel grant a refund. If we reschedule your appointment more than once, I will ask you to cancel for now and contact me when you’re ready to book. You will lose your deposit and need to place a new deposit to rebook.

What is your roster? when do your books open?

Please refer to the books section above for more information on this. If you keep an eye out on my Instagram, you will be updated with updates on things like when my books open.

Why didn’t i RECEIVE an email response?

Thankfully I receive a lot of interest for tattoos but this also means it is very difficult for me to keep track of every email i receive. I handle everything myself and it is a lot of work to keep on top of. I sincerely apologise if I missed your email. Please don’t take offense to this! I’m hoping that the website system will help keep track of everyones emails. This way even while my books are closed, your wait list application can come in and not get lost by the time my books open and i’m ready to book everyone. See here for more information.

Can I bring a friend and/or child with me to my appointment?

Currently due to COVID, there are no guests allowed. This allows the number of guests in the studio to be as low as possible. Usually I allow a maximum of one guest in the room at a time. There is not much space for more than one guest at a time and it can be very distracting. I prefer no guests due to distractions but I understand certain circumstances like the company and/or the support of a guest can be necessary. I do not allow children to be accompanied while getting a tattoo, the studio allows a child to be present under supervision for consultation appointments only. Short visits in the waiting area throughout the day/appointment are fine (if for example you and your family are traveling to come for a tattoo, your partner can visit with your child in the waiting area when having breaks but cannot stay for long periods of time like a full day tattoo appointment.) I hope this answers your question. If you have a similar situation and would like to ask me further, please contact me.

Can I eat, drink, watch things on my phone, listen to music via headphones?

You're more than welcome to do any and all of these things. As long as you’re not moving around too much and I can focus on your tattoo without any bumps, you’re more than welcome to snack, drink fluids (except for alcohol) and use your phone or tablet throughout the appointment. Sometimes it can help to focus on other things like watching Netflix to take your mind away from the tattoo itself. I don’t take it personally or nor do I get offended if the client wants to put earphones in.

Can I use a pre-numb cream?

I’m okay with using tattoo numbing cream as long as it’s a reputable product and not just random stuff off the internet. You can get a prenumb cream from a compounding chemist made for you and it’s stronger than the stuff from the internet and it actually has safe ingredients unlike the unknown stuff from the internet. This way if you have a reaction, you can receive correct care to help the reaction if you know what ingredients are in the product. Please just make sure you use the product as recommended. If you use an unknown product from the internet and/or you have used incorrectly, we may not be able to go through with the tattoo on the day and you will lose your deposit. If you use a pre-numbing cream, please inform me prior to our appointment.

If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me
